Black Coffee

The days of meeting up in one of those cosy coffee shops, over a cup of our favourite cappuccino or espresso, seem far behind us.
Black Coffee

One song comes to mind straight away: Julie London’s take on Black Coffee. If you know it, you can already hear that lonely, sleepless evening.

Just like many other businesses, Major Tom has switched to working from home during this Corona pandemic. Us internet geeks can work from anywhere, so telecommuting is no biggie. Don’t hesitate to call us if you need us!

#StayAtHome

Staying at home is a must now. It’s how we support those who are giving everything they’ve got on the front line. It’s how we’re going to erase this damn virus from the face of the earth, all together. Hang in there!

Update, September 2026

In the spring of 2020 we dutifully wrote #StayAtHome right here. Today we wouldn’t write it like that anymore.

When the coffee bars closed, we opened our laptops at the kitchen table. For internet nerds, working from home is no big drama, that’s true. But we missed the chat at the bar, the client popping in, the colleague looking over your shoulder.

Looking back, we believe that locking people up at home on a massive scale was a mistake. The bill came later: loneliness, businesses that never reopened, young people who lost a year. Too little was said about that at the time, and we didn’t say it either.

So here it is, six years late: the best ideas still happen around a table, with a real coffee. Feel free to drop by. The coffee’s on. Black, or with milk.
