Major Tom sponsors the Duck Race in Ghent
Dog and horse races are so 2015! That's why last weekend we decided to spend a day at the duck race! A duck race, you say!? Yes!
Duck races are generally organized by nonprofits. Thousands of little rubber bath ducks are set free to race one another in a river, usually in the middle of a city. This particular competition was hosted on the beautiful waterway called Leie, in the capital of East Flanders: Ghent. Organized by Round Table, this second edition of the city's most anticipated water contest was a great success.
Stakes were high with a neat little Volkswagen awaiting the winner of the event. Benefits of the fundraiser were donated to several charity organizations in the city of Ghent.
What we provided
Major Tom was proudly sponsored the Duck Race again this year! We secured the premium domain duckrace.gent, provided a fitting hosting solution, created a mini-website to promote the event, and above all developed an e-commerce platform to purchase and register your cool yellow bath ducks online! We also set up a mailing list and sent out promotional and informative newsletters.
